The process of making these paintings, was very rough.
I started painting “Tentacle” on 6/6/13. Depression was kicking my butt that day. I called everyone I could call, I IM’d everyone that I could IM. I felt this darkness, this numbness and pain that I cannot explain. It was like a haze.
Here is a video of clips from 6/6/13.
The next time that I worked on the painting, I tried listening to more positive music and not thinking. It helped. There were no emotions, just working on the piece.
Video clips:
“The Hand Job” is a painting of a hand. The hand was modeled by Andrew Bradley. There is more to the painting than just a hand, but I will leave that up to the viewer to decide and keep my secrets secret.
Here is a video clip of the 2nd half of painting “The Hand Job.”
In process photos of myself painting were taken by Andrew Bradley.
Self portraits and video were taken by myself, Ren Fracture.
I submitted these two paintings submitted for The Funhouse Gallery presents the Black, White and Red Show. I hope I get in it.
